Paredo privacy policy

QuickBooks page information

The extension reads the structure and visible content of supported QuickBooks Online pages in your browser to identify screens and adjust their display. This can involve financial information already displayed on those pages. The extension does not send QuickBooks page content, transaction details, balances or customer records to Spring Harbor Studios, ExtensionPay or Stripe.

Preferences and access status

Display preferences and a minimal subscription/trial access cache are stored locally in your Chrome profile. Preferences apply across QuickBooks companies within that profile. The extension uses no analytics or advertising trackers and does not sell user data.

Trials, subscriptions and payments

ExtensionPay handles email-based trial activation, purchase restoration and subscription status. Its bundled library stores activation identity and status using Chrome sync storage, with local storage as a fallback. Chrome sync may transfer that provider data between signed-in browsers according to your Chrome settings. Display preferences remain local.

The extension contacts ExtensionPay to verify access and opens provider-hosted pages when you start a trial, subscribe, restore access or manage a subscription. ExtensionPay and Stripe process the email, payment and billing information needed for those services. Card details are entered in hosted checkout, not in the extension. Spring Harbor Studios may access billing/customer information through provider dashboards for support, subscription administration and refunds.

Why the extension needs access

Access to qbo.intuit.com lets Paredo recognize supported screens and change their display as you navigate. Storage access saves preferences and trial/subscription status. Access to extensionpay.com supports activation and access verification. Paredo does not request QuickBooks API access or browser-history permission.

All executable extension code, including the bundled ExtensionPay library, ships in the extension package. Paredo does not download and run remote code. Provider-hosted billing pages are separate websites opened when you choose a billing action.

Support and retention

If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. Avoid including financial records or unredacted screenshots. We use support messages to respond and resolve issues, retaining them as needed for support and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Billing providers retain records under their own policies and legal obligations.

Your choices

You can change display preferences, turn Paredo off, or uninstall it. Uninstalling does not cancel a paid subscription or necessarily remove provider data held in Chrome sync. Use Manage subscription to cancel. To request deletion of support or account-related information, email support@springharborstudios.com; some billing records may need to be retained by providers or for legal obligations.

Website and policy changes

The product pages contain no analytics or advertising scripts, signup forms, or third-party font requests. Your browser sends normal requests to GitHub Pages when you visit, including requests for locally hosted screenshot images. The website doesn’t automatically receive your QuickBooks data. Clicking a Store, billing-provider, or other external link takes you to that service; emailing support sends the information you choose to include. GitHub Pages hosts this website and handles technical request information under GitHub’s privacy statement. We will update this page when our data practices change.
